What is the difference between Round and Square tally sheets?

Round tally sheets use Length and Girth for round logs. Square tally sheets use Width, Thickness, Length, and Pieces for sawn or rectangular timber.

Where are volumes calculated?

Volume columns appear in the tally grid. Round sheets calculate gross/net CBM and CFT from Length and Girth. Square sheets calculate gross/net volume from Width, Thickness, Length, and Pieces.

What does Settings control?

Settings controls validation rules, unit of measure, allowances, decimal precision, visible columns, and copy behaviour such as Copy Previous Length.

What export formats are available?

The Export menu shows Excel, PDF, Bundle, and Advanced options.

Can I import tally rows?

Yes. The toolbar includes Import for file-based import and AI Import for image-based extraction from handwritten tally sheets.

What does the status bar show?

It shows row count, gross volume, unsaved rows, save progress, saved state, and ready state.

Is there a copy row button?

The row action buttons are Add Row Below and Delete Row. Copy Previous Length is available as a Settings option and applies automatically when adding new rows.

Can users change visible columns?

Yes. Use Choose Columns in the toolbar or Visible Columns in Settings.

Are validation errors visible?

Yes. Invalid entries are highlighted in the grid and must be corrected before saving.

How many records can a tally sheet hold?

There is no hard limit. The grid handles large datasets — for example, 100+ round log entries — with smooth scrolling and real-time volume recalculation.
